Nordic Walking is a gentle and effective form of all-around training. It was originally developed as summer training for Finnish cross-country skiers. But by 2003, it had already grown into a sport with a broad base of participants. Unlike classic power walking, walking with poles not only gives the legs a workout, it also exercises the muscles of the abdomen, chest and arms.

Nordic Walking is suitable for all age groups and all ability levels. And the countryside around Velden provides the perfect setting. During our Vitality and Health Weeks, we also have walking poles available for you to borrow.

The Pyramidenkogel lookout tower offers views as far as the eye can see. The Wörthersee and the Keutschach “4-lake valley” are a true feast for the eyes, while the mountain world of Carinthia seems almost close enough to touch.

The Rosegg Animal Park is so enjoyable: more than 400 animals look forward to your visit. It also features a garden maze where a good sense of direction is definitely the order of the day.
